The New Canon!

I have a Canon Rebel XT but was thinking about selling it and getting a Canon 50D. However, I just heard about the New Canon:

EOS Rebel T1i EF-S

I like what I'm hearing about it so far:

• It's got a lot of the same features as the Canon 50D (for example, 15.1 megapixels, same wide range ISO settings, etc.)
  
• However, it's less expensive AND, drum roll please
• You can take video!! (full HD video capture at 1920 x 1080 resolutation  w/ HDMI output for HD viewing of stills and video).

I may be shifting gears....has anyone heard any buzz about this new camera?

Our niece Kristina has accepted a job in France. Kristina has traveled the world, but has a heart and passion for France. She's done mission work there and has visited several times. She left yesterday, and will be in France 3 months to train. If her work visa goes through, she could be there permanently. If not, she will come back and work at a satellite location in the U.S.

Obviously, the theme this month is {black and white}.  On Saturday mornings, I'm up and at 'em to get things done, but my kids love to get in our bed and snooze with daddy.

Pretties and Posies

Recently, I won a drawing for a beautiful canvas from Melanie at Pretties and Posies.  Melanie has a beautiful family, she's an incredible event planner and artist, and her blog has the softest/prettiest shabby chic style. This canvas is so special to me and looks fantastic in Ava's room.  Thank you Melanie for your kindness and I so appreciate your thoughtful heart and talent.

Look who got glasses!  We've noticed lately that Jake has been complaining about headaches.  We also had a report from his Kindergarten teacher that he was having trouble reading the blackboard.  Today we picked up his glasses and we can already tell a difference.  Tonight he has really enjoyed reading and doing his homework.  Hallelujah...homework is something Jake has struggled with.  His best little friend at school has glasses and I'm glad there's at least another child in his class in the same boat.  I hope he is as excited about his glasses tomorrow, after his classmates react to his new look!!
