Oh la la...Mademoiselle Ava is four!!

First, let me start by saying it's been a crazy April and I haven't had time to blog...a good friend had triple by-pass, my mother-in-law had surgery...then a stroke on Good Friday, and April 1st my co-worker was in a horrific motorcycle accident and has been hanging on for dear life.   Praying for healing and recovery for all, and I look forward to catching up with my bloggy friends again.

Secondly, for the past couple of months I've been planning a french inspired party for Ava (which she had this past weekend)!  My little birthday girl, you are precocious, love to draw, talk non-stop, need your sleep like your mamma, and are a lot of spunk in a little package.  We love you to the moon and back.

On a related note, I've been toying with the idea of starting a business that offers party accessories, details and planning.  So warning...this post has lots of pics!

The Birthday Girl

As guests arrived they were greeted by a "FOUR" sign.  I made each letter to look like a piece of candy

The girls dined outside! I hung a personalized bag on each chair as a place setting and for the girls to carry their favors home in. We had two french waiters: Pierre (aka big brother) and Jean Claude (aka daddy)

Instead of a cake walk, we did a prize walk and the girls made necklaces

Ava thoroughly enjoyed her time with her friends! And loves her french waiters

"Catching up" on Jake!

I use my blog as a scrapbook to capture life's moments and memories. When it comes to Jake, I've neglected that aspect of my blog. Jake turned seven back in October, and we had a Carnvial Birthday Party in our backyard. Here are a few collages from his big day!



About an hour ago, Jake was in his room, and he was eerily quiet. I went up to check on him and this is what I found....he was making book castles! I knew he loved to read, but I guess he likes books for more than just reading!

Three in One Day

Three of my friends all share their birthday on May 24th. We celebrated last night by going out to dinner and then wrapping up the evening with an ice cream cake and chocolate covered strawberries. It was such a fun evening...thanks ladies for a great time!

Tonight we had family over to celebrate Ava's 3rd birthday.  I will always be sad that I missed your first birthday, but feel blessed and honored that I get to be enjoy the rest!  At three, Ava loves: pink, being read to, chewing gum, shopping, coloring, painting on the computer, her preschool, friends and family.

Happy Birthday Jake!!

Today was Jake's 6th birthday.  He had cupcakes at school and got to wear a special birthday badge. This evening we celebrated with family and it was so great to see everyone.  Jake sends out a very special thank you for all of his nice gifts.  Jake, your a wonderful boy and we're honored to be your Mommy and Daddy.  We hope you had a very special birthday.
