Siblings and an "Over the Moon" Referral

Do you all ever have those "Calgon-take-me-away" moments when the kids are bickering and pestering each other just for sport?  I know I have them in my household.   And then, there are moments when they swimmingly and tenderly get along.  Those are the moments and memories I love to capture...

Ava "reading" to her big brother.  And wow, what a story she made up :)
Big brother hanging on every word!
A proud big brother!
Speaking of siblings, cutie-patootie Leah is about to get a precious mei mei.  My sweet and dear friend Melissa, just got the referral for her beautiful daughter Kate.  Isn't she adorable?
Please visit Melissa's blog "Over the Moon"  to wish her well and follow her journey.  Melissa is eloquent, positive, and always optimistic.   You'll just love reading her blog.  Melissa, congratulations to your beautiful family!!

Good News!

The sweetest family just got a referral for their second daughter, Rebecca.  Please go over to my friend Carolin's blog  to show some love and see a picture of their cutie.  She's got such a sweet twinkle in her eye, and the most "pinchable" cheeks.  Congratulations...we can't wait to meet her!

Pray for those waiting

Adoption is beautiful, emotional, fulfilling, and unknown. Putting your dossier together is such a busy event full of excitement and a sense of purpose. You rush to get your dossier complete and then you come to a grinding halt -- stuck in drive -- waiting for a referral. I personally know of 5 families that are in the waiting stage. But that's just families I know; there are so many families out there waiting. When waiting, there's an anticipation, expectation, and hope that something will take place. But it's hard when it's unknown, and you have no control over the process.

God's timing is perfect. As human beings, knowing and believing that, it's still very hard. Please pray for all of the adoptive families out there. Lift them up. Pray for strength, hope and peace during this time.

God Bless!

Livi Lu -- not only cute but for a good cause too!

We ordered this cute little green and blue top/dress and it arrived today in the mail. If you are interested, you can get one here at Livi Lu Creations. When you make a purchase from Livi Lu, part of the proceeds go to pay for foster care through Grace & Hope for Children (for a little girl named Olive who lives in China). Thanks Lynn, it turned out great.
